"Oh give me a home,................."

Significant progress today, with our builder arriving to start work on our Cottage!!  The site was levelled by a bobcat, and theoretically now is ready for the slab to be boxed up and poured. 


Theoretically??  I was previously concerned that the site would be too wet and boggy after all the rain we had in January, but now it's too dry!!  Even a foot below the surface the soil is absolutely dry, and when our traprock soil is dry it goes like talcum powder.  So  we desperately need some nice soaking rain in the next few days to settle the soil, and allow it to be formed ready for the slab.

It is very nice to see progress though................
