It's really good to see so much progress on the Trainbarn. The windows are now in and I'm really happy with them. Here are some more photos of recent progress.
I hadn't seen any photos of the verandah roof effectively finished. We'll be putting weatherboards across the front and sides of the portico. Lots of Colorbond Trimdek waiting to be installed!
This is around the corner of the verandah, showing what I call my 'workshop annex', which will be used for storage of trains not on display and a workbench for maintenance of the trains. Eventually a disabled-access ramp will be here, too.
This is an interesting photo, in that the colours are more accentuated than normal, and it makes the Trainbarn look like it's in the desert somewhere, which it's not! But fantastic to see all the cladding on the back. I'm really happy with the colour and profile, exactly what I was looking for. It's meant to look a bit like an American Barn, which are primarily clad with 'board and batten' construction. The tank pad is in the foreground.
As always, very exciting!
